How it works
- Start with the default three cities (Seoul, New York, London), then add or remove any city.
- Drag the slider on the top (reference) city's hour, and every other city updates with it.
- A city on a different calendar day shows "tomorrow" or "yesterday" next to its time.
- During daylight saving, offsets shift, and this app recalculates the real value for that moment.
If you want to know what a time zone is, see the reading guide.
Common questions
- A time zone is a political choice, not a strict function of geography, so countries on the same line of longitude can use different offsets, and some, like India (UTC+5:30) and Nepal (UTC+5:45), sit at a half-hour or 45-minute mark.
- Countries near the equator mostly skip daylight saving because their day length barely changes there, so the same trip can gain or lose an hour depending on the season and the country.
- If your city is not in the list, add the nearest of the 25 cities covered here that shares its time zone; most countries have only one.
- Reopening a shared link the next day keeps the same clock hour but moves "today" forward, so the calendar date can differ even though the time looks unchanged.
